NTRIP connection in ETP
For high accuracy positioning with your Arrow device you will need to connect to an NTRIP correction source.
- In Eos Tools Pro tap on the Differential page in the bottom tab navigator bar.
- You will see NTRIP highlighted in the top left. If you are connecting to a caster that doesn't use NTRIP you can try DIP (Direct IP) instead.
- You will need to select HTTP or HTTPS and put in the URL or IP address of the caster you are trying to connect to. You will also need to input the port used for corrections. An example would be: rtn.dot.ny.gov : 8080.
- You'll likely need a username and password to use the correction service.
- After inputting your information select the drop down to see a list of mountpoints. Mountpoints are different base stations that you can connect to from the caster. It's important to pick the right mountpoint so you are getting relevant corrections. Typically you would use the closest mountpoint, if you don't know which mountpoint to select contact your NTRIP service provider.
- Press the Start button.
- Return to the Position tab in the Status page. You will see the Diff Status change to Fixed, Diff Station ID change to the ID of the mountpoint selected and the Diff Age should be 1 or 2 seconds.
- You are now connected to your RTK network and are at or near centimeter accuracy!
- Tap Save Profile to save specific NTRIP details and recall them by selecting the saved profile in the drop down menu at the top of the Differential page.
